The Quiet is Loud: Why Peace Feels Like a Trap

Most people tell you that once you find peace, you’ve made it.   They describe it like a sunset or a long exhale. They don’t tell you that at first, peace feels a lot like boredom. And for people like us, boredom feels like a threat. When your nervous system is calibrated to chaos, "normal" feels wrong. I spent years addicted to the fire. I knew how to navigate the flames.
